How To Make Your Phone Battery Last That Bit Longer

It can be very frustrating when you have to keep charging your mobile phone continuously. You really need to make sure that your phone is not going to go dead if you are heading out for the whole day or if you are going on a long trip. If you need to get more from your mobile phone battery then the following tips should help.

- Playing games on your mobile phone will really drain the battery so you need to avoid doing this. It is better if you just make calls or texts if you want your battery to last as long as possible.

- If you are not going to be phoning anyone for awhile and you are not expecting any calls then just turn your phone off for a few hours. One thing that many of us do is waste the battery power because we leave our phones switched on even though we are not anywhere near the phone.

- In areas where there is not a good signal, you will find that your phone continually searches for a signal and this can waste battery power. If you don’t want your phone wasting battery power in a situation like this then it would be better if you turned it off completely or switched it to aircraft mode. The opposite is true when you are in an area with a strong signal because your phone does not have to search for a signal so it uses less power.

- It is a good idea to switch off the backlight on your phone if you can as you would be surprised at the savings you could make.

- Turn off the vibration function unless you feel you really need it. The vibrate uses more power than the ring.

- A 3G device which you may be using to search the net, will also use a lot of power.

- Switch off Bluetooth unless you are actually using it. This uses a lot of power and will quickly drain your battery dry.
