Is Split/Second A Good Game

Split Second is a game that came into stores over the weekend and it is made by a Studio owned no Disney and doesn’t have a mouse in site!! This is the same team that were behind Pure so they do know what they are doing. Pure was a good game and although not massively successful it was still good and you can see this in split second, it has better takedowns than Burnout!!

Within the game itself you star as a contestant on a television show called split/second in which you have to race against other drivers on a track actually designed to be destroyed and this is where the fun all kicks off. I think it is safe to say that this game has the best explosions in it across all driving games I have played. There is no boosting into people to get them off of the track Burnout style in this one, it is all about causing massive explosions to take out people that are driving against you, think exploding fuel stations and jumbo jets crash landing. There is a lot going on in this game all of the time so just be warned here.

The single player is a long one indeed and there are so many courses to keep people happy with. The only downside to this game that I can actually see is that it is just one of those games that you either win very closely or lose spectacularly. I am talking playing against the AI on single player here. If you are in first then they are always right behind you whereas if you are not in first it can be tough to catch up.

The real power of this game actually comes from the online play!

In reality you won’t find a plane wrecking thatnew Audi orcar leasing car but you may find yoursatellite navigation to lead you into a fuel explosion, I am of course kidding.
