In fact were talking more like 13 years, and the last time I passed out. As far as I was concerned I didn’t have a fear or a ohobia of flying, it just happened, and I passed out. After all that mess happened, I decided to give planes a miss for as long as possible, having holidays in my own country was good enough for me. About 2 years into my marriage, it was time to face my fears and get on a plane, all that way to Egypt, a massive mission!

Right, flashbacks of jumping on the plane happy as Larry and waking up on the other side (without any recollection of flight) started to happen… When I returned from my last holiday I passed out as well, however I have no idea why, and it was a while ago now, so I got a little scared! I decided to “Man Up” as one of my friends had told me and I didn’t say anything to my wife, I just got on the plane. So I sat down, and nothing seemed to happen, my heart wasn’t racing and everything seemed fine, I could see straight as well. Then the engines started, and still, I was ok, even when we were moving to the run way I felt fine!

This was all strange, I couldn’t understand why I passed out the previous time, and before I knew it, we were in the air. I had finally reached that stage where I could start to be excited about my holiday. I couldn’t wait to get to Egypt and then get on the plane back. Everything just couldn’t stay going all smooth could it! Over the Tannoy I could hear the Captain announce we were heading into some rough turbulence. Things got really bad, the plane felt as though it was going to crack up in the sky, and there was even a light storm brewing outside. I couldn’t believe it but I made it, however somehow I did. This was the only time that fainting would have been nice!

Egypt holidays Didn’t actually appeal to me that much, and i never went back, next up was a choice between Maldives holidays or Sri Lanka holidays, both involve a aeroplane!
