Gaming is huge nowadays with more and mroe people thinking about picking up a game over something like a DVD or CD the music helps the game to have real story to it much in the same way as a film. Here are some of the best ones.

Halo 2

The last track of the game does it for me on this one and it works so well as well as the others in all three games, it adds to the storyline. The last song is there purely to stop fans from throwing their controllers at the screen, waiting two years for the next game after that ending wasn’t right!

Super Mario Bros

This is the original and by far one of the best theme tunes in gaming history; it works amazingly well with the game itself and helped propel Mario to the front of the gaming world. Even the recent Mario Galaxy music is fantastic with every world having a different tune to it.

Super Smash Bros Brawl

This is on the list simply because it puts all of Nintendo’s best musical scores onto one game. Every stage has multiple songs for it. This is truly a game for the Nintendo fan as there is a lot of music from old games as well as nearly every main Nintendo peep. The best one in my opinion is Dr Mario.

The truth is that all of these pieces are made in a very similar way to the way that a film piece is made so all kinds of instruments from the traditional drum kits and guitars to bass guitars all are now needed to create a piece of music that is suitable for a game. It takes just as much skill to create a piece for a game as it does for a movie.
